December Ayahuasca Retreat in Ecuador: A Journey of Renewal, Release, and Rebirth

Every retreat begins the moment you hear the call. When your heart leans forward and you make the decision to commit, the journey has already started. Our December ayahuasca retreat in Ecuador is more than a week in the Andes—it is a carefully woven passage of preparation, ceremony, integration, and renewal aligned with the energy of the solstice.

Preparing for the Journey

Preparation is sacred. After registering, you’ll receive a detailed guide to support your emotional, mental, and physical readiness. Journal prompts invite you to reflect deeply and arrive with clarity. We also share an intention-setting call, a powerful step in anchoring your purpose. Setting intention is more than deciding what you want—it is about directing your energy, opening your heart to receive, and aligning with the medicine so it can show you exactly what you need.

Arrival & Energetic Landing

The first day is for arriving. You’ll be welcomed at the airport and brought to our mountain hacienda, the setting for your journey. This day is not only about physical arrival—it is about energetic landing. Taking time to settle body, mind, and spirit into the space allows you to feel fully present. One of the first ways you are received is through a plant bath with bitter herbs, a traditional cleansing that clears stagnant energies and invites you into relationship with the plant spirits and the territory.

Building Connection

Early group activities foster inclusion, guided by therapeutic principles of safety and belonging. These workshops ensure that each person feels held and seen within the group, laying the foundation for the shared journey ahead. Together, we also engage in subtle practices to connect with what we are ready to release, aligning with the prayer of the solstice to close cycles and let go of what no longer serves.

The Ceremonies

Our first ayahuasca ceremony is held in sacred space, accompanied by complementary medicines, music, and aromatherapy. The following day is dedicated to rest and integration, held in circle and supported by nature—whether through quiet reflection, a gentle walk, or a visit to waterfalls.

We then continue working with subtle energy through therapeutic activities, preparing for the second ceremony. This day includes a powerful Offering Ceremony, where we recover vital life-force, balance the energies of giving and receiving, and cleanse karmic patterns. Ritual offerings connect us to gratitude and reciprocity, reminding us of our place in the great web of life.

On the solstice itself, the fifth day, we will honor the turning of the cycle with rituals to harness its potent energy for renewal and rebirth.

Subtle Healing & Integration

Throughout the retreat, each participant receives flower essences prepared to support their unique intention. Activities may include body-based therapeutic practices to release stored tension and restore flow. We open with a Shamanic Circle with ancestral medicines to connect to our hearts and elevate intentions, and close with a sweet plant bath, calling in abundance, blessings, and flourishing. Plant baths, in shamanic tradition, are more than cleansing—they are a communion with the spirits of the plants, who share their qualities of protection, sweetness, and vitality.

Our final workshop is a gentle closing space for integration through affection and presence.

Spaciousness & Rest

The retreat is intentionally designed with balance. It is not about filling the schedule with endless activities but creating a harmonious rhythm of ritual, ceremony, therapeutic support, and spacious rest. There will be plenty of time to simply be, to walk in nature, to watch the light shift over the mountains, or to journal quietly. This rhythm allows the medicine to work not only in ceremony but also in the quiet spaces in between.

The Facilitators

This December ayahuasca retreat in Ecuador is guided by two women devoted to the path of healing and service.

Nadia Hannout is a seeker, mentor, and student of the sacred, whose own healing journey inspired her to move to Ecuador to reconnect with her roots. Her path of transformation has been guided by ancient plants and traditions, and today she serves as a steward of the Earth and advocate for living in harmony with oneself and the natural world.

Mercedes Andino is an alchemist, psychotherapist, and channeling woman from a family of healers and herbalists. With years of therapeutic experience and studies with indigenous Inga communities, she brings a unique blend of psychotherapy and ayahuasca tradition to her work. Mercedes specializes in supporting psychosomatic, emotional, and spiritual healing, weaving ancestral wisdom with therapeutic skill to guide others in their awakening.

A Gentle and Loving Path

Renacer means “to be reborn.” This retreat has been thoughtfully designed to weave the therapeutic with the shamanic, to work with subtle energies in a way that is gentle, loving, and safe. Whether through ceremony, ritual, or simple moments of stillness, you will be invited to let go of what is no longer needed and step into renewal with clarity and grace.

Our December ayahuasca retreat is not only about drinking medicine—it is about walking a sacred path toward wholeness. We invite you to join us in this solstice journey, to be held by the wisdom of the plants, the power of ritual, and the support of experienced facilitators.
